Shoji Noir

Hello and welcome to my blog!   About a year or so ago I was contacted by an old friend Tommy Bartlett.  Tommy developed a passion for videography in college and is now a very talented and accomplished videographer and filmmaker, working freelance under his own company; T Productions LLC.   Tommy had been following my blog for some time and offered generously to document my work.  Many of you who follow my blog and know the quality, or lack thereof, in the videos I create, so to say the least I was excited.

Tommy came out to visit and we kicked around ideas for some time on what we thought might best depict the mood of the workshop.  We decided not to make a how-to video, or a ‘talking head’ video, but instead hoped to simply convey the spirit of the work.

A few weeks ago everything came together.  Tommy brought his equipment to the workshop and within moments of arrival I knew I was in capable hands.  Tommy turned out all of the lighting in the workshop and setup his lighting equipment to depict the mood exactly as he wanted.  We spent the day depicting the details of making shoji.

I hope that you enjoyed these vides and I very much look forward to your comments.  Please feel free to share these, it is more than welcome.
